The only thing these companies are good at is emptying authors’ wallets.
It made no sense to any of us in the industry why Amazon (through Book Depository) would charge more for books.

The best advice I got was from a community relations person at a Barnes & Noble was this: BE PREPARED TO HAND SELL.
They earn a LOT of money for the organizations, and usually cost a LOT of money for authors.
