I’m on day nine of this bug. Brian is on day five. Mason escaped the house last week with Grampa so he did not succumb. Is it Covid? Who knows? Since we haven’t gone anywhere in almost two weeks, and aren’t going anywhere, it really doesn’t matter if it’s Covid or not. The only place we’ve been is church (almost two weeks ago) and we did notify them that we caught something. Nobody else there has gotten sick, thank goodness.
We’re well-stocked on vitamins, cold meds, and nutritious food and drinks.
I ran a fever for three days (and I slept almost that entire time). It broke, and then came back on day seven. It went away again this morning, thank goodness. Once I started feeling better on day four, I made the mistake of watering the garden, planting some onions, doing three loads of laundry, and much more. I won’t be doing THAT again!!
We had to cancel the trip to Mackenzie’s second birthday party and that broke my heart. However, there will be 43 people there and I’m pretty sure none of them wants us around them right now. 😉
I am very behind on my work so I’ll have to cut this short.
Oh, and in case you’re wondering – nobody has yet correctly guessed all of the bugs in last week’s post. Only one entry is permitted per household so, if you already guessed, please do not try again. However, do not despair! We are already collecting new bug pics for another future contest! 😉

Being sick is rotten. We’re all wishing you a speedy recovery.
Oh dear, I’m so sorry, Angela. I hope you’ve continued to improve by now, and Brian. So much hassle, stress, and upset could have maybe weakened your immune systems. Do include Vitamin D as well as the C I’m sure you’re taking. Many adults are deficient and don’t know it. Rest as much as you can. Thoughts and prayers going up for you.
Oh no, so you literally caught a bug. The up side is that you have a beautiful quiet retreat where you can recuperate and renew. Take care.
Hugs!
Angela,
I seriously hope you are right – this is a BAD flu and not COVID-19.
I thought the same on May 4th 2020. Here it is June 2021 — over the year I have lost 1/2 a lung, 20 pounds, and am now too weak to enjoy outside life. This Bast%&d virus jumped slowly from organ to organ until one treatment after another and finally surgery was needed.
Seriously, get tested — stay rested, and be on the lookout for things that crop up ‘later’.
