Open-Window and Kayaking Weather!

Open-Window and Kayaking Weather!

On Tuesday morning, we woke up to a very breezy, warm day. Well, warm as in the mid-70’s. It was so gorgeous that we opened all the windows and sliding glass doors.

Around mid-morning, Ali and Justin surprised us with a visit. They wanted to know if they could borrow the kayak. We said yes, of course. As we were standing outside, helping them launch the kayak, I asked Richard and Justin if they could move the outdoor table with the umbrella cover to the area by the pool, right outside the master bedroom sliding glass doors. They were happy to do that.

I then got my laptop and a tall glass of ice water, a comfy chair, and my phone (for music), and headed outside to my “new desk.”

It was Heaven!! Around 6:00 p.m., it started to get chilly so I had to come back inside. I was looking forward to using my new desk again today (I’m writing this on Wednesday) but we woke up to lightning and thunder. Perhaps tomorrow…

Of course, once July and August come around, I won’t be working outside so I need to enjoy Florida’s best season (Spring) now, while I can. 🙂

THIS WEEK’S MASONISM

I hesitated about sharing this one. You’ll see why.

Mason (age 9) has had a cold, and was digging around under the bathroom sink for the bag of cough drops. He suddenly turned around, holding a box of feminine hygiene products, and said, “You still get periods?!”
