I drove to the airport this morning to pick up my step-mom-in-law while Richard took the boys to their museum class for shark and fish dissection. Yea! Richard’s dad is arriving by vehicle this evening and more friends are arriving in two days.
This weekend is Zach and Mary’s couple’s shower. It’s a dinner party and the theme is Breakfast for Dinner with a Mimosa Bar – more specifically, chicken and waffles, Scottish eggs, and hot, homemade donuts for “dessert.” Richard’s doing the cooking. I offered to cook but nobody wanted me to burn the house down. And, everybody actually wanted to LIKE what they were eating. I’m not really known for any culinary skills, other than my chocolate chip cookies.
This issue will be abbreviated because the house if full and things are getting wild and happy. π
THIS WEEK’S MASONISM
Last Sunday, Mason made fried chicken for dinner (with some help from us, of course). He found a “KFC knock-off recipe” that was delicious! As he was reaching in the fridge for the carton of eggs, he said, “Mmmm! Grade A fresh eggs, straight from the chicken’s anal cavity.”
