Our daughter, Ali, and her new hubby, Justin, have been house shopping ever since returning from their honeymoon in November. This week, they asked me to meet them at a house they kept returning to after looking at so many others. So, I agreed to do that on Monday and it was so much fun! I was the first one there. I walked around, taking pictures to help them in their negotiations. By the side of the house, a very large black snake gave me a startling greeting. He was more afraid of me than I was of him so he started racing away. I chased him, trying to get a picture. So, when Ali and Justin pulled up, they found me running along the side of the house.
It’s in a very safe and beautiful neighborhood and it’s a gorgeous house. I could see why they were so excited about this one. But, they found out that morning that another couple was also putting in an offer. We put our heads together with the realtor, came up with a strategy, and it worked! They found out this morning that they got the house!
Best news? It’s only five minutes from ours! It’s a very large home so I told them they’ll need to be filling all those bedrooms with children! 😉
THIS WEEK’S MASONISM
While Ali and Justin’s new house is just five minutes away, it’s across a very busy street, and also down a winding road with woods on one side and open water on the other. When Mason (age 9) found out they were moving so close, he said, “Well, that’s great! I can walk there by myself!”
(I told him that wouldn’t be happening until he’s 18!)
