Over the river and through the woods to OUR house they all come! I haven’t seen my parents in over a year and they are coming here for Thanksgiving, along with my older brother, his wife, and youngest son. Between them and all of us, we’ll have 13 here for Thanksgiving and another 2 have been invited. They are a couple who just moved here from Bangor, Maine.
Dad is bringing 2 1/2 turkeys. We’ll have one traditional, one brined, and one Cajun fried. Yeah! I am SO excited about that! He’s also bringing a bunch of tamales. I miss the days long ago in Texas when a kind man would show up each day at our office with a cooler of REAL, hot tamales. My mouth is watering just thinking about it.
My parents are arriving on Sunday. One place they want to visit is the Salvador Dal” museum. Of course, we also have to take them to the beach one night for sunset pictures. Luckily, I finished my Christmas shopping for our Texas relatives so I can send the packages back home with them and save a ton of money on shipping.
This weekend, I get to clean house before they all arrive. Yuck. 😉
