Matt’s Almost Here!

Our son, Matt, who lives in Boston, is arriving on Friday, and will be here for about two weeks. We are SUPER excited about his arrival and we have lots of fun things planned for him while he’s here! If only we could convince him and his beautiful, sweet wife, Sarah, to move to Florida. He has a great job in Boston but…it’s soooo cold up there and it’s so far from us.

I am almost finished with my Christmas shopping. Since we got such a late start this year because of the wedding last month, I split my to-do list in half, and sent part of it to Richard. I usually do almost all the Christmas tasks but he sure seems to have enjoyed helping this year. Perhaps next year, he’ll get even more of the list! In a few years’ time, if I play my cards right, I will just need to sit back, drink eggnog, and watch Christmas specials each evening of December. 😉

We went to Celebration, Florida for one night last week to enjoy the Christmas lights and snow. The “snow” was actually soap bubbles but the kids enjoyed it. I was just happy it was 75 degrees!

That night, we treated ourselves to a very nice dinner. I ordered Kobe beef after the waiter described the cows being massaged daily, listening to classical music, and other things I’m not too sure I believed. It was delicious, however, especially swimming in truffle butter.

I asked Mason if he wanted to taste it and he nodded his head eagerly. I put a forkful in his mouth and he muttered, “Tastes just like hamburger.”
