Chilly Fireworks

Our Independence Day holiday was very relaxing. We took the day off, attended the parade and spent time with the children. Ali treated us all to homemade macaroni salad, homemade apple pie and homemade cake (God bless her) and she and Richard cooked hotdogs and hamburgers on the grill. It was a pretty warm day so we stayed in the air conditioning during the afternoon. When we were leaving for the fireworks, we were shocked to realize that it had actually turned chilly outside. Richard gathered up everyone’s jackets while I hunted for Max’s shoes.

My poor mother in Texas is enduring a horrible heat wave and dry spell and I didn’t have the heart to tell her that we actually had to wear coats in the 4th of July.

Hugs,
Ang
