“Most common mistake is using the incorrect title of the magazine. That basically gets your submission deleted. If a writer can’t manage to get that important detail correct, we know their attention to detail overall isn’t very good. The other advice I would give is to follow the explicit details on our submissions website. Don’t think you’re special and can therefore skirt the guidelines somehow (direct email or phone call)”
