Over the last 2 weeks, we’ve received reports from authors that another well-known P.O.D. publisher recently kicked the bucket. In their email notice (which used the word “regret,” but offered no apologies, nor an explanation), they told authors to pay them ($250 to $300 per author!) if they wanted copies of their production files and an ISBN. In their promotional activities, they will usually include specific links to Amazon.com, BarnesandNoble.com, their publisher’s website, etc. If an author publishes a new edition under a new ISBN, the book will receive all new links. So, those old links that the author posted on social media, in comments under news articles, and more will all lead to the old edition of the book.

Reading and writing were never my “thing.” As a young child, I actually despised both.
I used to say, “Who has time to read?” and “WHY would someone read for fun?” and “WHY write anything more than your name down on a piece of paper?”
Without reading it all — I didn’t need to — she is lying. Get a lawyer NOW. If she is a professional she will be registered someplace, even I am registered and I am only a care aide. If she truly is then you can fix her for being unprofessional and using her degree out of place. I have training in dementia care and he does not sound demented. I wouldn’t be posting their words online either; they can get you on that.
A low pressure system stalled over us last weekend and we’ve had four straight days of heavy, oppressive skies. Dark gray clouds as far as the horizon and barely a wisp of breeze. Every two or three hours, the wind will quickly pick up and we’ll get slammed with a deluge of rain. Then, the clouds will churn again, crawling back into themselves, and hoarding their moisture for just a little while.
