All of our articles, including the Off the Cuff essays, seek to provide some measure of instruction/advice/take-away benefits to a national audience of writers. Too much navel-gazing in essays won't cut it. Also, re our author interviews, these are not like general newspaper interviews; we are much more focused on specific questions of craft."
