We thought the pre-Christmas publishing rush had come to an end last week when we had two slow days – the slowest days we’d had since early August. So, we let our guard down, and breathed some sighs of relief, thinking we’d get to take some time off this month. But, noooo. That break lasted only for those two days and things have been hoppin’ here ever since. It’s a positive problem but we’re working our fingers to the bone here.
There are some things that won’t get done this year…like the annual family photo book… Ain’t happenin’… I just can’t get it all done but I’m not going to let myself get stressed about it. I’m aiming for a stress-free Christmas this year. That includes drastically cutting back on the gift giving and not making so many plans. For example, I really wanted to go on a Christmas tour of homes but I think we’ll stay at home and watch movies that night instead. We were going to go TO the Christmas boat parade here in St. Pete this weekend but we’re going to watch it from the 18th floor of the “home office” instead.
I’m almost finished with my Christmas shopping (which was all done online this year because of my busy schedule) but I haven’t wrapped any gifts yet. Not even one. Ug. I called our daughter, Ali, today, and asked if she’d come over one day next week to help. She said she’d love to. Shwew!!!
Now, back to the hundreds of emails in my in-box…
