Caleb has been here a little over a week now. He spent the first part of the summer being a private chef on yachts in Bar Harbor, Maine. Since he arrived, we’ve been taking full advantage of his culinary talents. We took him to Whole Foods and he had a menu and grocery list in hand. And, each night, we sit down to original, gourmet deliciousness!! Right now, he’s slaving away in the kitchen Homemade Beet Chips to accompany the Maple Pistachio Encrusted Fish he’ll be grilling up later. I can’t even pronounce the type of fish he’s cooking – much less spell it…but it smells wonderful! We love Caleb!!!
Last night, we had Homemade Crab Ravioli in a Butter Cream Sauce. The night before, it was Savory Mushroom Risotto. And, the night before that, mouthwatering Horseradish Shepherd’s Pie. Yum!!!
Yeah, we’re going to be big as barns by the time he goes back to Maine! And, it’ll be completely worth it!! 😉
This week’s Masonism:
Mason has had a wiggly front tooth for a few months now and he will not wiggle it to make it come out. Each night when I’m supervising his flossing and brushing, I asked him if he’s been wiggling it and he says he has not. I finally asked him if he’s afraid of losing that tooth.
He responded matter-of-factly, “You have to keep your front teeth so you can eat corn!”
