One of the most devastating times for writers is when things seem to be going along smoothly and then the work dries up. As I close in on 14-years of full-time freelancing, I find that now and then, work can suddenly dry up for me just as it does for any writer. Whether the work and specifically whether the high-paying kind of work that I enjoy returns and how soon depends on how I respond to these lulls…

The setting for my novel is (a large museum in Washington, DC). I also reference (a large foundation). Everything else is per my imagination. Do you see any issues with using an actual public place or organization for a novel?

I’m remaining pretty consistent with burning out a laptop about once every three years. I diligently back up my machine every single night and I double back up the accounting program info.

See bad writing online? Offer to fix it. That’s how I’ve won numerous web content writing jobs from companies. Finding the work is easy. Anytime you’re online, take note of sites lacking content or whose content could use improvement. Print on demand, self-publishing
Hello Angela,
In the past, I have entered your 24-hour short story writing contests. My question: I have a completed book that I’d like to self-publish. Who would you recommend for self publishing and what problems could I run into with self publishing?
Thank you,
Rebecca

In the earlier days of copywriting on the web, there weren’t many rules guided by search engine algorithms like there are today. For this reason alone, I seemed to have a lot of time to research my new career’s possibilities. Having started writing when it was common to earn one dollar per 500 word article, I always assumed I’d have nowhere to go but up…
