More House Hunting

Last Saturday night, we drove up to Anna Maria Island to see Ali and Justin. This time of year, the weather is perfect there, with temperatures in the 70’s and a brisk sea breeze blowing. We slept with all the windows opened, and woke up the next morning to the sound of their neighbor’s waterfall. Heaven!

We all got up, dressed, and headed over to Peaches for breakfast. After that, we spent the entire day driving around from one house to another. Good thing we did, too, because some homes that looked really nice online were in really bad neighborhoods. Two houses that I really, really liked were in a neighborhood that was nice but all the houses are pancaked together – about three feet apart. The one house that I loved had sold the day before. I wasn’t too upset. It obviously wasn’t meant to be.

This weekend, we’re looking at homes on Longboat Key, which are pricey and smaller than we’d like, but located only a few minutes from Ali and Justin. We want to try to stay close to all the kids if we can.

I have a Masonism for you this week:
“Mom, I have two jobs for you. I need you to get on Ebay and buy me an Amity Boat Tours t-shirt…and a grenade launcher.”

Big hugs to all,
Angela

P.S. I want to “follow” you!
