Last Monday, Percy woke up with one of his “asthma attacks”, which he’s been having for years. When we first got him, a vet said it was asthma, and to just try to calm him down when he’s having an episode. They usually only last a couple of minutes but this one went on and on and on. Percy then started coughing like he wanted to throw up…

Hi Angela,
I just wanted to say thanks for that first royalty check. It’s a good feeling to actually get a check for all my struggles and efforts. And, I continue to get much positive feedback from readers. Getting my book published has been a very good experience for me in many ways and I’ve recommended BookLocker.com to several other writers.

Much of the legal profession, and especially non-profit law firms, rely on instructional materials, such as “How-To” pamphlets and “Know Your Rights” brochures, to provide basic legal information to their clients. Here’s where you come in: these pamphlets and brochures often appear to be slapped together without much effort or editing.

I had never had reason to return a Kindle book until I made the HUGE mistake of ordering two “best sellers” from a writer. The summary sounded somewhat interesting so I thought I’d see what a “best seller” was since I’d not heard from this author before. What a disaster…

self-publishing

I decided to pull my book off the market a few months ago, rename it, and republish it elsewhere (I was not happy with my previous P.O.D. publisher). My previous publisher said they removed the book but it’s still on Amazon. How can I make them remove it? I don’t want the old version competing with the new.

We often think our fears and neuroses hold us back as writers. We talk in terms of worries weighing us down, and fears needing to be wrestled with. Yet in the last few years, I’ve started to see that stuff that keeps you up at night as something else too: great subject matter…

Many of you know Matt, who came to live with us when he was 15. We have claimed him as our son since that day and he who worked for us for many years before he got his Master’s degree, and then his dream job as an actuary. He now lives near Boston and works in Boston. When we heard about the bombing on Monday, I immediately called him. No answer. I texted him. No answer. I checked his Facebook page and there was a picture of him AT the race! I panicked!! I posted a note to his Facebook page begging for him to respond and I then called, texted, and Facebooked his girlfriend. too. A few minutes later, Matt was able to text us that they were okay. Thank Heaven!!! I rejoiced but then immediately felt guilty because so many others were hurt and killed.
Later that evening, I had to turn off the TV. I kept getting tears in my eyes and I just couldn’t take the scenes anymore. It’s horrible, just horrible, and I can’t make sense of it at all.
Big healing hugs to all,
Angela
P.S. I want to “follow” you!
