Well, the groundhog definitely saw his shadow here…and he bolted back into the hole he’d dug through the three feet of packed snow we have on the ground. Our poor RV looks so lonely and cold outside. I’m sure she’s just dying for a trip but she is out of luck. Even if we could find a campground open within a few hundred miles of here, it would take us more than a day to dig her out since the kids have been piling up shoveled snow in front of her all winter. Heck, if we let Mason play outside right now, he’d sink and get lost in the drifts.

I think I need a greenhouse for days like this. I’m bummed that there’s no end in sight to winter (I don’t need a groundhog or even a weatherman to tell me that!). I need some warm sunshine on my face and my favorite tank top. And, I have wanderlust something terrible! After Frank graduates, we’re going to start spending our winters down south. Whine whine whine…

The good news is it looks like we will be able to go visit my sister next week. We’ll be leaving town after the Amazon hearing. So, while we are going to be able to take a short trip, it’s almost as cold at her house as it is here (sigh).
