At o’dark thirty in the morning, Ali and I are hitting the road, heading to Miami, where we will jump on a cruise ship with our future daughter-in-law, her friends, and her mother. We’ll then spent 4 days and 3 nights humming tropical songs, drinking tropical drinks, and seeing tropical sights. We will NOT be zip-lining (boring), nor parasailing (been there, done that), but we are interested in trying a unique restaurant or two on the islands, or doing some shopping.
I’ve never been on a cruise before. I’m not to keen on being “stuck” on one vehicle (albeit a very LARGE vehicle) for that long. I am looking forward to unlimited helpings of every type of food they offer (pleeeeeeease let the pizza be good!), as well as unlimited “free” room service (ahem – we paid plenty for that “free” stuff!).
So, if you need something this weekend, send a note to Richard. He’ll be stuck here taking care of yard work, children and pets. Don’t worry, though. The guy’s bachelor party weekend is fast approaching!
THIS WEEK’S MASONISM
Heard from the back seat as we were driving through town last week:
“I’m not donating all my blood just to ride on a freakin’ bus!”
