We celebrated Max’s 4th birthday over the weekend. We had a fun party with our friends and Max had a wonderful time playing games and opening presents! It actually got chilly that night and everybody had to put on their sweaters. Zach’s birthday is next Saturday and he’ll be 19. Knowing we have a child who’s almost 20 really makes me start to feel the years.

We’ll be hitting the road again next weekend, right after Zach’s birthday. We feel the oil companies may have hyped the gas shortage and I really don’t think it’s fair that I miss my reunion when there seems to be plenty of gas. So, we’ve completely revamped our trip. Part of our itinerary will run backward now. We have, of course, had to forego taking I-10 from Texas to Florida and will instead head north and then west, through West Virginia, a place I’ve always wanted to visit in the fall.
