New submissions at BookLocker always slow down this time of year because everybody who wanted their book published by Christmas has already finished the publishing process. While the lull is nice, it feels really weird to get off work before dinnertime some nights now! Like last year, we’ve put up a $149 setup fee special just to keep me out of trouble. Heh…

I finished several Christmas tasks over the weekend and the out-of-town gifts are just about ready to ship to the relatives. I spent several weeks on a homemade gift for my mom and I finally finished that last night, too. I wish I could post pictures online for you but I’m afraid she’ll peek. I’ll post them after Christmas. I think we’ve watched most of our favorite Christmas specials and the wrapping is pretty much done but Ali and I haven’t started the baking yet so this weekend will be a flurry of fattening festivities!

I have a Masonism for you this week.

Richard recently bought me flowers (he does that ALL the time!) and Mason (age 3) was so happy. He loves flowers! After a long, deep sniff of the most recent bouquet, he said, “MMMmmm! IT’S TASTY!””

Hugs to all!
