Should I publish one very large book or three smaller ones?

Should I publish one very large book or three smaller ones?

I’m not certain how you feel about dispensing free advice, but I need an experienced opinion. I am finishing up a novel that has three distinct parts. Each part is as long as a book.

Is it better from a marketing standpoint to publish the book as a single work, or break it up as a trilogy?

Many thanks and God bless!

J.

I recommend breaking it up. You can price the first book lower to promote the other two books. It’s always better to have three products to sell instead of one.

Also, authors of multiple books are considered more professional, and new readers might be more willing to take a gamble on a new author if that author has multiple books under his/her belt.
