I’m setting up my own website as a freelance writer, mainly to show my clips to potential editors.
Do I need permission from each of the publications in which my work has been published?
Pam
If you sold all rights to the publications, yes, but most of them won’t mind.
Simply send each editor an email asking permission to publish your clip on your website. I would be surprised if any of them said no. If one does say no, and if the article appears on their website, simply put the name of the article on your own site, and post a link to it.
