While self-published books don’t carry the same stigma they did even as recently as a few years ago, they still aren’t considered on the same tier as traditionally published books. So, most self-published authors don’t want to make a big deal out of the fact that their book is “self-published.”

Glad you were all safe. January before last, water got within 30 yards of our house here in the Brisbane suburb of Fairfield, when so much was flooded and so many drowned, so we, too, were lucky. Now we say we live in Fairfield Heights. Thanks for being such a good writer/story teller.

There’s always been a lot of controversy regarding the right path to take when building a successful following and business as a freelance writer. Many of the writers I know won’t submit to small presses because they feel they are a waste of time, and a dead end.
