We managed to convince Zach and Mary to babysit the boys for a long weekend and Richard and I escaped alone to Ybor City. We had a FANTASTIC time! Best date EVER!! We ate some amazing food, met some really cool people, and attended The Castle, which had some amazing people watching!
The next day, we took some Advil (ahem…), and headed to Tampa for The Epicurean Hotel (one of our absolute favorites). It’s owned by the same folks as the world famous Bern’s Steakhouse (which is right across the street). The food at the hotel is out of this world and the hotel has the best service we’ve ever experienced.
On Sunday afternoon, we went shopping at a bookstore (of course), and had tea, cucumber sandwiches, crumpets and more before heading back to Bradenton to once again find our responsible selves. 😉
