I was just wondering if you have any insight into why Amazon is selling new copies of my book for $3.13 when the list price is $19.95.

Amazon’s system occasionally automatically lowers a price on a book drastically. When we have pointed this out to Amazon in the past, telling them they’re losing money on each sale of that book, they usually send an automated message back that basically says “we can price products at whatever we want.”
Some authors take advantage of Amazon’s error, and attempt to order several copies. Interestingly, that what seems to spur Amazon to fix the problem and they have even limited the number of copies being purchased by the author at the discounted price.
