It may seem ironic but one of the reasons I left my self-imposed retirement from freelance writing is due to the number of people who are entering into retirement age.
I am a contributing editor for a small Catholic newspaper but it’s an unpaid position. I am hoping that one day to be paid for my writing. It’s like I’m black-listed or something, know what I mean? I have tried women’s magazines, religious magazines, etc., but no luck. Do you have any tips?
The next-best thing to getting cash for your writing is receiving something you otherwise would have paid for. In addition to cash, I have been paid with food, massages, auto maintenance and much more. I am a mystery shopper.
