Mom Comes And Goes...
printable version
My mom came to visit for the weekend. I hadn't seen her in a year and she was only here for about three days total so I was very sad to see her go. I don't know when we'll see her next so that made her parting all the more painful.
She looked really good, despite having recently broken her foot. She takes very good care of herself and gets lots of exercise taking care of her horses. I pray I look as good as she does when I'm 63! The children really enjoyed her visit and we spent most of our time visiting and shopping.
The weather is rapidly getting colder here and we're expecting some snow showers later this week. We have three tall maple trees in our yard that peaked with their glorious fall colors when Mom was here. She was happy about that. Then, a huge storm blew through and we woke up to trees that were considerably more wintry looking. The wind was blowing so hard that all the windows were rattling. While we're used to that, living on a river in Maine, my mom was pretty startled and got up to look out the window to see what was going on. Heh...
Ya'll have a safe Halloween next week! Max will be a skeleton, Frank will be a gory monster and Ali will be Little Miss Muffet. You can see the white pumpkin Max and I grew HERE. Okay, it's not huge, but it is WAY bigger than Ali's (because she accidentally planted miniature pumpkin seeds).
Hugs to all!

P.S. Write your autobiography NOW! Think you can't remember your childhood? Yes you can, using my memory triggers. Many students have complained that my memory triggers make them remember too much, giving the enough memories for more than one book!
