No Ice, Please!

We received another 6 inches of snow last week and we’re supposed to get a small ice storm tonight. Ug!!! Richard ran the generator in the RV this morning just in case we lose power in the house. If we do, we can pull out the slides in the RV and the kids can bunk on the floor, the sofa, and the recliner. Of course, Richard and I call dibs on the master bedroom. There’s a TV, VCR and DVD players, a bathroom (no heated toilet seat, though), and a full kitchen (with an eensy, weensy oven). We also have three different types of Internet connections, including a dish, so we’d be able to keep working as well.

We haven’t yet needed to relocate to the RV during an ice storm since moving here over a decade ago. However, two years before we moved here, this part of the city lost power for two weeks during a huge one. It’s very comforting to have an alternative plan and it’s so nice to have a hubby who makes sure we are more than prepared for most types of emergencies. Right now, he’s running errands, making sure we’re stocked up on food and that we have enough gas in the cars, just in case.

This week’s Masonism:

“Do oranges have lemonade in them?”

Hugs to all!

Angela
