MEMORIAL DAY POOL FUN!

On Memorial Day, we worked in the morning and relaxed in the afternoon. Richard spent most of the day in the kitchen and outside by the grill while I spent the afternoon in the pool with the kids, batting around a volleyball, tossing a Frisbee, and teaching Max and Mason how to play Marco Polo.

For dinner we had brats and burgers, which were so yummy! My father-in-law, bless his heart, spent most of the day putting up my new curtains. He also dismantled an old carousel-type laundry line gizmo that was in the side yard when we bought the house. It was pretty, shall we say, UGLY so I was so happy to see that go. My father-in-law is awesome, and is always very happy to help with anything. He really likes to keep busy, so, when he had to leave on Tuesday morning, he asked me to just write up work orders for any other stuff we want done the next time he visits. 😉

The weather is getting quite warm here, so much so that we are going to start running our errands either early in the morning or in the late evening, while spending our days holed up in the air conditioning…or the pool, of course.

This week’s Masonism:

Mason came over and cuddled up next to me. He buried his face in my shirt and started making these long, deep sniffing sounds. I laughed and asked, “What are you doing?”

He smiled, and replied, “You smell like love.”

Big hugs to all,
Angela

P.S. I want to “follow” you!
