UK ISBNs ARE ONLY £10 EACH

The ISBN agency here in UK has changed to Neilson. Their link is below. As you will see, the price of 10 ISBNs is £105, including tax. So that makes them £10 each. In real money that will be about twenty (U.S.) bucks. Are you sure that US single ISBNs are $125?

ISBNs are TOO EXPENSIVE in the U.S.!!!

Angela-

I read the article on ISBNs and I'm confused. Are you saying that an author can buy their own ISBN for $125 for just ONE? Is this correct? How unbelievable if this is the case. Last time I checked, you could buy 10 numbers for $175 (the cost is now $275 FOR 10) , but you'd have to be a publisher...though it seems like it would be worth it just to save yourself the cost. It's all a big racket, isn't it?

ANGELA RESPONDS

Hi RD,

I agree with you. It's unbelievable. One ISBN in the U.S. is $125.

The cost for a block of 10 now is $275 ($27.50 each).

100 ISBNs are $995 ($9.95 each) and 1,000 are $1750 ($1.75 each).

ISBNs in Canada are FREE!
