Watch Out for Fake Book Reviewers

Hi Angela,

Can you please tell me or point me in the right directions to find “reputable” book
reviewers? I have come across a couple and they don’t give me a warm and fuzzy feeling. I think they are looking for free books.

Yes, this is a quandary. We hear about fake book reviewers all the time.

The best thing to do is to find publications where you’d like to be featured,
contact their book reviewer directly, and send a personal note to them, asking
if you can send your book to them for review. Some large publications have
book review guidelines you must follow in order to submit.

For short blurbs for Amazon and your booklocker.com page, sometimes it’s
easier, and actually more helpful to future readers, to obtain quotes from
people who have already read your book. Be sure to get their permission
before posting quotes.
